OVER 80% OF OUR FIBRE MIX

Linen and cotton account for over 80% of JAG's total fibre mix. We choose them because they are grown, not manufactured. They breathe, age well, and when cared for properly, last.

Below you will find what we make, why we choose each material, and how to care for it.

01 LINEN - 40% OF OUR FIBRE MIX

OUR MOST-USED FIBRE

Linen is our most-used fibre, representing 40% of our total fibre mix in FY25. Every linen garment we produce is made with 100% linen.

It comes from the flax plant — one of the most resource-efficient natural fibres on earth. It requires minimal water and no pesticides when grown responsibly, and in its natural state it is fully biodegradable.

We have signed a partnership agreement with EU Flax Linen, and approximately 34% of our linen is now certified responsible — grown and processed entirely in Western Europe under strict environmental and social standards, with full traceability from field to fabric.

HOW TO CARE FOR LINEN

Turn garments inside out for washing. Cold wash on a gentle cycle. Air dry in shade where possible. A hot iron after washing restores the drape beautifully.

02 COTTON

VERSATILE BY NATURE

Cotton is one of the world's most versatile natural fibres — soft, breathable, strong, and naturally temperature-regulating. Properties that make it the backbone of everyday wear across all seasons.

JAG uses conventional cotton across the majority of our cotton range. We are working toward increasing our certified and traceable cotton as part of our ongoing responsible materials transition, and we will report on our progress transparently as we build.

In its natural form cotton is biodegradable, and single-fibre cotton garments are among the easiest to recycle at end of life. Where a garment is 100% cotton with no synthetic blends, it is one of the most circular choices in your wardrobe.

HOW TO CARE FOR COTTON

Machine wash cold. Turn inside out to preserve colour. Dry flat or line dry to maintain shape.

03 DENIM - A CORE PILLAR

DENIM IS IN OUR DNA

It is one of JAG's three core product pillars and the category where we have invested the most in craft, quality, and storytelling.

04 THE REST OF THE MIX

OTHER FIBRES, HONESTLY

Used selectively, and only where they earn their place. No certification claims we cannot stand behind.

MAN-MADE CELLULOSICS

A small percentage of our garments use man-made cellulosics including viscose and lyocell. Derived from plant sources, they offer a quality of drape and movement distinct from natural fibres. We are working to increase our use of certified MMC options as supply chains and volumes allow.

LEATHER

We use a small quantity of leather in accessories and select garments, sourced from suppliers who meet our chemical compliance and animal welfare standards. We continue to review our leather sourcing criteria as the supply chain evolves.

SYNTHETICS

We use synthetic fibres only where they specifically add to a garment — such as technical fabrications where durability or stretch cannot be achieved any other way. Only 0.95% of total units produced in FY25 contained polyester, and all of it was 100% recycled.
